On Wednesday I took a day off and went for a hike. I walked from Pak Kung Au to Mui Wo. While hiking I listened to Dark Net Diaries and an audio book version of "Business Adventures". Then when I finished the hike I saw a friend of mine put up a YouTube video about dry fasting for 56 hours. I talked to him a bit about it and thought "I should try doing a 24 hours fast".
Anyway I got home, and ordered some take away noodles. A few hours after eating the noodles I started feeling really uncomfortable. Like I was really bloated or something. At first I thought I just ate too much. An hour later I realised I had food poisoning.
I woke up the next morning still feeling like crap. I was supposed to look at apartments with my girlfriend and my real estate agent that afternoon, but I scrapped those plans. Then I put my phone on airplane mode and went back to sleep. I woke up again at 5 PM. I still was feeling really weak. I think I watched a few YouTube videos but that made me feel a bit worse.
I went back to sleep, woke up around 10 PM. I watched a few trading live streams to see how GameStop and AMC were doing. I don't own any of the shares but I find the story really funny. I went back to sleep at around 1 AM after reading Matt Levine's latest finance news letter.
Then this morning I woke up at around 8 AM and was feeling much better.
